The Wave MC comes with an extended boom and more profile than the Hammer and is thus the power wave sail of our range. It combines early planing power, handling and control into a compact unit. The Wave MC is easily handling tricky waves as well as difficult flat water conditions. The 5 batten concept succeeds with its stable centre of effort and plenty of power to get you safely through even the most critical situations. This characteristic makes it the ideal sail for riders with a powerful style, who want to keep full control even in the most extreme conditions. The 70% x-ply proportion guarantees durability and longevity.
Key Facts:
Equal compatibility for standard or RDM masts 70 % x-ply construction Airfoil leech design for more control Deep centre of effort and deeper profile for more power in onshore conditions
Renato Morlotti’s point: With the Wave MC designed for a more ’powerful style’ does this mean a more advanced sailor or a heavier sailor?!
Renato: The Wave MC is an onshore sail and of course it’s designed to release and power up but only in comparison to the Hammer model. The WMC still offers a good soft ‘power on & off’. The deeper profile gives a different feeling to the rider while he’s sailing and manoeuvring. The power is exactly the key that makes the rider act in a different style than what is required from the Hammer and that’s why we say it has a "powerful style". Nevertheless, the WMC is a friendly sail that everybody can use successfully and enjoy!
How does a wave sailor choose between the Hammer and the Wave MC? Renato: It’s a pure personal choice; it depends on the sailor’s weight, kind of waves they ride, how much wind they sail in, personal style and so on. No rules fixed!!! Any good riders should be able to decide themselves, no dubs about it.
